Saturday at the Zoo......

Saturday, G, the kids, Rick, Laura and I went to the Fort Worth Zoo. The weather though overcast was perfect. The kids loved looking at the animals and Avery loved riding on his Uncle Rick's shoulders. He also loved that Aunt Laura let him hold his own ice cream. We had a wonderful time and the zoo was absolutely beautiful with lots to see. Check out our pics from our wonderful day. Enjoy!

I know it's been awhile since I've posted. Things have been pretty busy out this way between work, school and taking care of Avery. I will try to be better at posting new pics and updates. Here are some new pics. Enjoy!

Raegan's in the Top 5.........

Congrats are in order again to our daughter Raegan on making the Top 5 for the UIL Storytelling Competition at her school. They are still narrowing it down to 2 students and an alternate. We are so very proud of her on how well she has done. She has gotten lots of praise from her teachers and our friends and we are so proud! They have several more practices before the Top 3 are chosen so stay tuned and I'll keep you posted. Congrats Rae!!! We love you!!!

Congrats Raegan!!!!!!!!!!!.............

I know it's been awhile since I've updated but wanted to let you know that Raegan got picked in the Top 8 for UIL out of 21 students! She got a call back last week and we should know very soon if she made the Top 4 that will go on to competition. We are so very proud of her and she will always be a winner to us! Congrats Rae! We love you!

Baby powder anyone???......

Avery loves baby powder and always wanted it in his diaper when he was smaller and still loves it now. Yesterday when I was on the phone with my mom, Avery thought that would be a great time to get into the baby powder. He poured some on the floor, and on our tv in the bedroom and of course on his head. He looked so cute that I had to take a picture.

Family Fun Day at the park.....

Last Sunday we took our kids to the park in Little Elm. The kids had a great time playing on the swings, sliding and running around. We went down to the boat dock and looked around and had a really nice day. We had lunch at the picnic tables. Avery loved going down the slide and doing whatever Raegan did. He is our little daredevil. After the kids played we went walking around and found a small hiking trail. The kids enjoyed the trail. Avery fell down when he was running on the trail but got up like a trooper. Raegan loved looking at nature and we all had a great time. Here are some pictures from our day. Happy 2008!

Happy 2008! I know it's been awhile since my last post. Things are going great here in the Bennett household. We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years and hope you did as well. Avery turned 3 on December 27th and is doing amazing potty training! We are so proud of him and he is almost there! Raegan is doing amazing in school and in her chapter book reading. We are so proud of her! The kiddos got to spend some time with Mimi & Big Daddy and had a wonderful time. This was Avery's first time away from us for more than a night and he did wonderful! Big Daddy made him a tent and put on Cars for him and he was loving it. Raegan & Mimi made a wonderful chocolate cake and played games and had a blast.

Santa came early for the kiddos this year so we could leave on Sunday and have Christmas with Mimi & Big Daddy, Kevin, Lindy, Bobby, Melissa & Evan. It was a great trip to see them and we had a wonderful time! Check out our pictures from the trip. Happy 2008!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We did. We went to one of our good friends Rick & Laura's for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time! The food was amazing and the kids loved playing with Izzy and Lucy.

Wonderful News!!!!!.....

Raegan's teacher has recommended her for Storytelling for UIL which is University Interscholastic League. The top second and third graders are picked to practice and Raegan was one of the 2nd graders picked! She will have tryouts in the spring to choose the top 3 students to go to competition. Her practice starts on November 26th. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers! We are so very proud of her and know that she will do wonderful!

Our Pretty Princess...

Today was Raegan's Fall Party at school. I wanted to take some pictures of her before she left for school. She loves posing for the camera.

Our handsome little guy...

As most of you know, our little guy is turning 3 next month. It's hard for me to comprehend at times. It seems like only yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. The more I look at him the less I see the baby that he used to be but more the little boy that he is turning into. He is potty training and doing well. I bought him his first Cars underwear this week. We're not yet ready to wear them out in public but he will be there before you know it. It's amazing to me how fast both of our kids have grown. He talks more and more each day and is so expressive and vocal about his likes and dislikes. He loves the movie Cars, he loves Doodlebops, Bob the Builder, Thomas the Train, Handy Manny. He loves music and loves to dance and sing. We are so proud of him and everything he has accomplished. I took some pictures of him sleeping on the couch. This was a first time for this but he looked so adorable it melted my heart.

Avery...our little comedian.....

This afternoon when I was picking up the house I was singing to Avery in my pretend opera voice. I was singing his name over and over. He looks at me and points and says, "Mama, you're crazy!" He then started laughing. He is such a funny little guy and always knows how to bring a smile to my face.

Raegan had her 2nd grade music performance on Tuesday night. She did such a great job and had a lot of fun! Avery on the other hand wasn't feeling it before the concert started but loved seeing his sister on stage. I took some video and here are some pictures from the performance and before. Raegan & Avery's Spooktacular Halloween....

Hey Everyone! Happy Halloween! Hope you had a great one! We did. We took the kids trick or treating tonight and they had a blast. It was Avery's first official time to go to the door and he did so good. He said "treat" and "thank you" after he got his candy. He was very independent and wouldn't let Geoff or I hold his bag of candy until it started getting heavy. Both kids enjoyed getting dressed up in their costumes. Raegan was a witch and Avery was a skater boy. I made a slide show to showcase the pictures from tonight and I also added some pictures from a few Halloweens as well.
